Movie Info

Lady in the Death House is a fairly standard, women-in-prison drama combined with a low-budget, low-brow attempt at film noir. Lovely, innocent Mary (Jean Parker) is the lady wrongly accused of murder and saved by criminologist and psychologist Finch(Lionel Atwill). There is nothing new here and the identity of the true killer is fairly obvious from the start. However, there are some good performances by Douglas Fowley, who does a change of pace here from his usual villain to a leading man and former child star Marcia Mae Jones is is effective as a friend and supporter of Mary.
