Movie Info

Beautiful, sultry Jayne Ferre (Julie Du Page) is a ruthless, mob-connected hitwoman who, in the opening scenes, "eliminates" several mobsters by pretending to seduce them before blowing them away. Her greed gets the best of her, however, when she absconds with a metal briefcase containing a million dirty dollars rightfully/wrongfully belonging to her boss, the equally ruthless Frank Bianci (Louis Mandylor). In an effort to escape with the cash she hitches a ride from California to Texas with down-and-out Emily (Erika Eleniak) and her 16-year old son Kerry (Jeremy Lelliott), who is on the run from a small time drug dealer. Meanwhile, a detective (Adam Baldwin) is tracking the trio as a gaggle of Bainco's henchmen close in on their car -- which breaks down, sending Jayne and Emily in different directions in search of Kerry who now has the million bucks. Emily is eventually picked up by a friendly stranger (James Remar), who happens to be in cahoots with Jayne.

bad bad bad bad! does she have an accent, or doesn't she? mob hit women do not usually leave "signatures" like serial killers (like this movie: panties shoved in the mouth? please!) in fact, an extremely professional hitman/woman would leave the least amount of anything behind, period. certainly not something that is a signature, that's like screaming "look at me! i have a pathology!" anyone who watches this movie should get an honorary "adam baldwin fan" t shirt, because he is really the only reason to watch it, it is that bad. He plays a dirty cop (i'm not spoiling, that's practically revealed in his character's first scene, you can predict it!) and he makes the most of the role, as he usually does. He does get one of the funniest lines in the movie ("I guess safe sex means having to wear a bulletproof vest these days.") and thank god for that, because most of the other lines that evoked laughter in this movie were unintentional, i'm sure! Too much twisting and turning to make a cohesive storyline, and Erika Eleniak's acting hasn't improved since Baywatch, so putting her in "Mom jeans" and a serious role isn't really going to help her career! In short, rent/borrow, don't buy this movie, and only for die hard Adam Baldwin fans (who will probably just fast forward to his scenes anyway - you won't miss much!)
