From acclaimed actress Robin Wright comes her directorial debut LAND, the poignant story of one woman's search for meaning in the vast and harsh American wilderness. Edee (Wright), in the aftermath of an unfathomable event, finds herself unable to stay connected to the world she once knew and in the face of that uncertainty, retreats to the magnificent, but unforgiving, wilds of the Rockies. After a local hunter (Demián Bichir) brings her back from the brink of death, she must find a way to live again.

May 31, 2021Robin Penn Wright goes up into the far hills to hibernate, recovering from some heavy-duty trauma as it turns out. We get to watch her battle the unfeeling elements and the environment for quite some time before we get to find out why she's doing it. It's interesting to see how far she's willing to go, an indication of just how traumatized she is, and so we root for her survival. This is countered by the quiet and beauty of her surroundings. While not the bombastic filmmaking we are accustomed to, still this little picture of personal valor manages its point poetically.Kevin M. W Super Reviewer
