Paul B @IronRod51 09/17/2023 The documentary makes the case that Edward de Vere Seventeenth Earl of Oxford was in fact the writer of the works attributed to William Shakespeare. People who have this view are often called Oxfordians It has a pretence to impatiality with snippets from defenders of the orthodox position, but questionable Oxfordian statements are not challenged, and the main objections to the theory are not heard. For instance many of the plays seem to be written after Edward de Vere's death based on mentions of current events in the plays and computer analysis of their evolving style.
