This is so slapstick it was quite hard to follow what was actually going on, but the gist is Charlie works as a dentist's assistant but decides to try his hand at the job proper, with chaos ensuing. It's silly without being funny.
This is about standard for Charlie's keystone comedies, with plenty of fights, brick-throwing, and mallets to go around. The set-up is really nothing more than an excuse to fight, but at least Charlie is occasionally funny or likable in this one.
