Movie Info

This Italian-French co-production is not technically an "Emmanuelle" film, even though it stars that series' inspiration, Emmanuelle Arsan, and was based on one of her stories. Instead, this soft-core jungle adventure focuses on Laure (Annie Belle from La Casa Sperduta nel Parco), a priest's daughter who joins Orso Maria Guerrini's expedition to the Philippines to study the Mara tribe's rebirth ritual. What she studies instead are the male and female anatomies of her cohorts, including anthropologist Arsan and filmmaker Pier Luigi Conti, appearing under his usual pseudonym, Al Cliver. Cinematographer Roberto d'Ettore Piazzoli had worked with director Ovidio G. Assonitis the year before on the Exorcist rip-off Behind the Door, starring Piazzoli's wife Juliet Mills, . ~ Robert Firsching, Rovi

Audience Reviews for Forever Emmanuelle (Laure)

Crossing another sexploitation classic off the list, and this one was pretty watchable due to the lovely Annie Belle as the lead - her cute short hair was a big draw for me when I was tracking this one down. Softcore fun, worth a rental.

This must-see bit of softcore exploitation fluff from the slutty 70s is a hoot if you're in the right mood for it: liquor and substances should be plentiful if you're going to do it right. Settle in with some close friends and let yourself drift through "Laure" (AKA "Forever Emanuelle"). There's enough quirky dialogue and provocative thoughts to make you scratch your head, but the true delight is watching pretty Annie Belle hump her way through the gorgeous Philippine landscapes with hunky Al Cliver (the two fell in love during the filming of this adventure and the chemistry shows). Author Emanuelle Arsan is credited with the screenplay making this as "authentic" as any Emanuelle motion picture to date, and reflects her free-love sensibilities; she even is cast in the role of "Myrte" and offers some wise counsel to Laure before the latter embarks on a symbolic cultural journey that is destined to change her forever. Five stars for Franco Micalizzi's groovy score, too. This one has a budget, great locales, a sort of plot, and lots of nudity and simulated sex for those who enjoy such forays into the hypnotic.
