Audience Reviews for The Crook

Little discussed and basically unknown to Americans, this little French study of the life and times of a crook is both entertaining, intelligent, and unique in style and tone.

Essentially a French fluff piece (does Lelouch make anything else, really?). Strictly entertainment. But at least it's amusingly, stylishly, intelligently done. Superficial section: Trintignant looks good and Francis Lai's score is catchy.

Rarely seen top flight crime thriller/character study from Claude Lelouch starring the always magnificent Jean Louis Trintignant in the title role. Wel worth seeking out.
