'Legend of the Werewolf' is a little-known and criminally underrated British horror yarn that features veterans Peter Cushing, Ron Moody, and Hugh Griffiths, all in top form. While the titular werewolf's origin may be silly, the monster himself looks great.

British werewolf entry has 19th century Paris coroner investigating a series of grisly killings from a werewolf. Notable for some of the most disappointing werewolf transformation scenes around. Peter Cushing lends credibility as the coroner.

Really a tragic love story. Infant raised by wolves and working at a zoo as an adult terrorizes the streets of Paris when he has a hard time coming to grips with the fact the girl of his affections is a prostitute. Not good but Peter Cushing always manages to bring a certain level of dignity to a picture regardless of content.

An all around highly enjoyable werewolf tale--For werewolf and Hammer freaks only!!

A by-the-numbers werewolf story, though it boasts a good supporting cast, and it's worth checking out, even if only to watch Cushing play detective.

It might be an old movie but it sounds good.
