Movie Info

An award party for Gotham City's Man of the Year, Bruce Wayne, quickly descends into chaos when The Joker crashes into the scene with a full gallery of rogues at his side, including The Riddler, Catwoman, and Two-Face. The Dark Knight swings into action to corral the uninvited guests, but one criminal attendee isn't quite so obvious - Lex Luthor, and with him a secret weapon that could change the balance of power in Gotham forever: The Deconstructor! The troublesome team of Lex Luthor and The Joker may be more than a stubborn Batman and Robin can handle alone, but what are Super Friends for?

Lighthearted superhero action is fun -- but big toy ad.

Audience Reviews for LEGO Batman: The Movie - DC Super Heroes Unite

Aside from a short running time for a mini Justice League film in LEGO form and the Robin character feeling too similar to the campy version from Adam West's Batman, it's fun fluff. The voice actors match their roles, the action is amusing, the music (although borrowed) is memorable and the CGI camerawork is creative. Where does he get these unbreakable toys? Lex Luthor is in the midst of running for president and needs one more advantage to win the election...mind control over the people. He builds a weapon that separates things; and in Lego Land, such a weapon can be very destructive. He hires the Joker to help him out and bring down Gotham. Batman and Robin may need the help of the Justice League to stop Luthor. "You got dressed fast." "I just started sleeping in costume now." Jon Burton, director of Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones, and Lego Harry Potter, delivers Lego Batman: The Movie - DC Super Heroes Unite. The storyline for this picture is actually very well delivered and written. The script was on par with The Lego Movie. The animation was excellent as were the voices selected to play the heroes. "We are not...going to call...Superman!" My daughter actually recently picked this out while we were shopping and we sat down and watched it together the next day. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was way better than the Justice League animation Lego film. Overall, this is very good and worth adding to your DVD collection. "It's a boy!" Grade: A-
