[font=Century Gothic]"Libertarias" takes place towards the beginning of the Spanish Civil War in 1936 when the Church is a popular target of the people's ire; and its very nervous rank and file are fleeing. A nun, Maria(Ariadna Gil), has a long way to go to her home village of Saragossa but first finds sanctuary in a brothel which is soon liberated by a Free Woman militia led by Pilar(Ana Belen). Throughout, the idea of freedom is explored thoroughly, especially for Maria, who is finding it an intriguing concept. And I especially liked how accurately anarchism was portrayed.
