John S. @spudweb Dec 30 I'd rather stick a hot poker in my eye than watch this film. I actually joined rotten tomatoes to warn people about it. It jumps all over. Dialog doesn't make sense. For the first 10 minutes, I thought the women in the movie were the same person. Then I noticed it's an all women cast. Also hard to understand even though it's English. Yuck. Boring, and slow. It never picks up pace. Don't waste your time. I really liked the story and the ending. :) See more Alice K 12/07/2024 If you get to the end, the premises of the film is interesting. Shame about the rest. It needed an actual story, character development, dialogue and more than one location. It would have been better as a 30 min short. ---Spoiler : None of this comes out directly in the film. My interpretation is that there are two factions which hate each other, one is shoting down transport ships, containing mostly of citizens of the other faction, to their doom on the moon so the survivors of the ship can be used like a grain of sand in an oyster to create valuable gem stones via digestion in the alien inhabitants. This is facilitated by gemstone framers that work there and wrap the survivors in light which attracts the aliens to eat them. If you happen to be on the ship and a citizen of the faction who shoot it down due to bad luck you might get rescued if you can provide your citizen id. -- Shame this not explained through the characters. You have to work out yourself. Way too many unneeded scenes mostly because they did not work on story, characterization, motivation, etc... l guess worth worth watching if only for forensic reasons. See more John D 11/22/2024 Possibly the worst film I've ever seen, and that includes 'Plan 9 From Outer Space'! The characters are idiots who don't respond to questions and ignore instructions (" stay off the radio"). They are aware they're in danger and short on oxygen, yet woodenly blather on like women in a salon. The suits and props look like something from Jules Verne and the soundtrack grated on my nerves (that annoying toy piano riff, over and over!). They keep stopping to pull jewelry out of their pockets to admire it and one even rolled balls of monster dung! Whoever wrote this drivel should be banned from the industry. SPOILER ALERT, and I say that very loosely: I only watched as long as I did because I wanted to see one of these stupid women get devoured, which I thought surely was going to happen when one of them kept setting off a radar scanner while the other repeatedly warned her to turn it off. Alas, it didn't happen. As far as I know, it only appeared in the trailer, because I finally shut it off. Not only do I hate this film and the characters in it, I'm actually pissed off from the experience! See more Read all reviews
