Such a sleazy, tasteless piece of crap that is so bad it's beautiful. It's hard to make a film that is just wrong on every level but Peter Sasdy pulls it off. f you are bored with Showgirls, track this down on VHS and pray for a blu ray release with commentary someday.

one of the worst movies I have ever seen she is no lady here although-spoiler alert-seeing her screw the lawn hose gives new meaning to the phrase watering the lawn!

Seems like this ridiculous movie's only excuse for existing is to show Pia Zadora being sexually degraded as creatively as possible. What a piece of shit.

I've only seen a video review of this film (thus saving me from watching this in its entirety) and mind blown by how utterly stupid this film was.

Some of the worst films I've seen sometimes possess a hint of wit or ambition or art, but The Lonely Lady is so lacking in quality that I can't think of a film to which this is preferable.

Oh My God... This might be one of the worst (if not THE WORST) movie I ever seen. I don't know what to even say I am so angry. And I thought Glitter was terrible. "The Lonely Lady" is a disgusting, sexist, offensive film with despicable characters and terrible writing. Why is this film so god awful? Well let's study this piece of garbage.

Jerilee (Pia Zadora) is a struggling screenwriter who wants to work in Hollywood. However, in order to make it big she has to use her sexual "charm" to make her script into a film. Just like Gigli, "The Lonely Lady" is way too sexual to the point where it's uncomfortable to watch. I swear there is at least 5 sex scenes between Zadora and some member of the male cast. In fact, "The Lonely Lady" makes Gigli look like a film driven by real storytelling.

Of Course, the acting in this film is really terrible. Of course, the worst of all the cast is Pia Zadora herself. I mean the only emotions she can do properly is happy and questionably disturbed look. Whenever she has a dramatic moment, she really overacts or really looks like she doesn't care. Despite the other actors really trying their best in their roles, every character in this movie is either a psychopath, a complete idiot or the devil incarnate. Among one of the the worst characters has to be Jerilee's mother. When her daughter gets assaulted, she doesn't want to report it because they think they have "no chance" against the rich community of Beverly Hills. Excuse me, your daughter just got sexually assaulted! You have to fight back somehow, but nope the assault is never resolved and the asshole never gets arrested.

The Biggest crime this movie has is the fact that there literally is no humanity. It doesn't matter whether we are talking about the characters or the script, this film is sexist and disturbing. Every Frame, there is nothing but emotionless sex or malicious cruelty toward Jerilee. It also doesn't help that Jerilee also does nothing to fight for herself. Any time she is caught in a uncomfortable or disturbing situation, she just surrenders her body and her dignity to whoever wants to take advantage of her. There is not one moment of happiness or strength throughout the entire picture.

The sad part is I know what this movie is trying to show. "The Lonely Lady" is trying to show how vicious a Hollywood Career can be and what low self esteem can do to your mind. But no one including Director Peter Sasdy and the screenwriters know what they're talking about. This film is so mean spirited and heartless that the "message" of the movie is non existent. This won 6 Razzie Awards including Worst Director, Worst Screenplay, Worst Actress for Pia Zadora and Worst Picture. It deserves all the Razzies that it got. The Acting is awful, the writing is clumsy, the direction is terrible and every scene is nothing but a heartless waste of time. Hopefully, this film will not ever get a DVD Release.

In one scene, Pia Zadora gets raped by a water hose. The rest of the movie is a forgettable soft core skin flick masquerading as an expose of film industry politics.

With more bad sex scenes than The Room, this is a camptastic pile of fail from beginning to end. It makes me want to see Mommie Dearest. And Pia Zadora couldn't have been more terribly miscast if you made her the leader of the Manhattan Project.

Arguably, the worst movie of all time. Basically a porno without the porn.

When Pia Zadora and Bo Derek seemed to be chasing each other down bad movie hell.

It's poorly acted and directed. It goes by faster than a ticking time bomb. The screenplay is trashy and without any meaning. It's so bad that it's entertaining. Pia Zadora had guts when she made this movie, I tell ya! The scene where she gets "abused" by a garden hose gives it even more reason to see this! It's a trashy film that went unnoticed and it's not hard to see why!

A classic trash film and one of the queens of bad movies, the laughs are sparse, but heavy when they come, and the film grows ever dumber as time marches on (the first 1/3 is decent, the last part is craptastic). That shower scene killed me. Then there is the theme song.

Not even Ms. Zadora can save this gag-fest.

Don't let the one star deter you, I'm recommending that everyone see this. If nothing else but for the best use of a garden hose Ray Liotta no less.

Many films are bad, but it takes a truly special, one-of-a-kind film to transcend the concept of badness, an accomplishment that "The Lonely Lady" pulls off with gusto. This unbelievably trashy melodrama about poor Pia Zadora getting exploited by every male on the planet in her attempts to become a screenwriter (but really, how hard could it be when THIS screenplay got made?!) often reaches levels of unintentional humour thought unattainable, but it's sometimes just plain nasty (I doubt Ray Liotta still lists his film debut as "garden hose rapist" on his resume). It probably reaches its peak of hilarity during a movie shoot scene when no one can come up with a good dramatic monologue for the lead actress to recite at her husband's grave; Pia then comes up with the words "Why? WHY?!" and everyone hails her as a genius!!
