Lion tamer Clyde Beatty (played by lion tamer Clyde Beatty) searches for his missing girlfriend on a lost island where tigers and lions coexist (along with bears, hyenas and whatever other animals the circus had on hand that day). The paper-thin plot is an excuse to string together non-ASPCA approved animal stunts, including two lion vs. tiger battles.

The characters are enjoyable enough but the plot is bland and a bit silly. Slow pacing and mediocre action. Nothing much worth mentioning.

"The Lost Jungle" has a convoluted plot, some average and some bad acting and isn't very memorable. The highlights of the movie are the scenes where we see Clyde Beatty training lions, tigers and bears to do some circus tricks, which is cool to see and a novelty since the same techniques are probably extinct today. It also has some good special effects (considering this was made in 1934) but other than a novelty behind-the-scenes circus act, you can easily skip this. (Dvd, August 18, 2012)

Ingen text lydandes "No animals were harmed during the making of this motion picture" lär har varit aktuell.

Short and fast paced oldie, pretty interesting. The acting is a little below average, but a watchable "B" movie. Interesting cast. This was part of a serial.
