Anger's grasp of operatic image-forging was never more assured
Egyptian gods and goddesses summon Lucifer (and flying saucers) across a psychedelic landscape. Wild, hallucinatory, occult stuff, with a fascinating soundtrack composed by convicted murderer and Manson associate Bobby Beausoleil.
Well, I suppose this film is basically a love offering to Alastair Crowley. Lava, baby alligators, Egyptians, ancient ruins, nipples, Stonehenge, Marianne Faithfull and a surprisingly good soundtrack by the Manson Family's Bobby Beausoleil...that's about the sum of it.
I was not bored.
The bastard child of Luis Buñuel and Aleister Crowley. Great score and pagan imagery.
