Luv is a perfect example of a film that does not live up to same plaudits as the popular stage play from which the story was taken. Harry Berlin (Jack Lemmon) is a depressed intellectual who is saved by his friend Milt Manville (Peter Falk) from jumping off a bridge. Milt takes Harry home to meet his wife Eileen (Elaine May) in hopes Harry will fall for her and Milt will get to marry the pretty gymnast Linda (Nina Wayne).
