Critic Reviews for Magnificent Warriors

All Critics (3)

Yeoh, como uma dublê de Indiana Jones, impressiona por seu vigor físico e as seqüências de luta são formidáveis. Mas, de modo geral, a história é fraca; a trilha, péssima e a direção, capenga.

Michelle Yeoh is a female Indiana Jones in this engaging Hong Kong actioner. But it's not up to the dazzling stunt work of Yes Madam or Royal Warriors.

Audience Reviews for Magnificent Warriors

Fun Raiders of the Lost Ark-meets-kung-fu concept. Has at least one career highlight reel-type action sequence featuring Michelle Yeoh, who also looks pretty cute in a leather pilot's jacket.

Michelle Yeoh is superb in her martial arts sequences and this film has amazing hard-hitting action, dynamic camera-work and ultra-slick editing to deliver a lightning-paced tribute to the Indiana Jones movies.

[img][/img] Ming-Ming has been trained by her grandfather to fly planes, perform martial arts, and to be an overall model citizen for her native country of China. She has been sent on a mission to meet up with another agent and stop a Japanese revolt in a small Chinese city. Ming-Ming arrives in the city and discovers a guy with a souvenir that marks him as the agent, but something doesn’t seem right about him. Ming-Ming must figure out an obvious mix-up and stop a ruthless Japanese general from taking over the defenseless Chinese city. “He got our money. The storyline is very much like the Indiana Jones series. The action sequences are martial arts driven with the implementation of a whip. Michele Yeoh was a wonderful title character for this picture. Richard Ng (Once Upon a Time in China), Tung-Shing Yee (Death Duel), and Chindy Lau delivered wonderful performances as well. “Don’t make fun of him, it’s not that bad.” “Not that bad? The martial arts choreography was outstanding. Yeoh displayed quick, electrifying, and flexible maneuvers delivered in a charismatic fashion. I strongly recommend giving this film a shot; especially for fans of the action genre. “We’re back you bastards!” Grade: B-
