Although the story is as predictable as can be ... the performances are better than those in most super-low budget horror pictures, and Jessica Gallant's super-16mm cinematography is surprisingly handsome.

Ms. Ferranti's direction is meandering and pedestrian, without a hint of personal style, and Ms. Johnson's script is riddled with implausibilities (no one seems too concerned when the members of the group start vanishing) and redundant scenes.

With its lukewarm gender politicking and clumsy performances, Make a Wish achieves only one real distinction: It has to be the dullest lesbian campout movie ever made.
