Más Negro Que La Noche is notable for being one of the few horror remake that actually exceeds the quality of the original film and for being one of the few Spanish language horror movies to gain a relatively wide release within the United States.
"Mas Negro Que la Noche" made me shudder in fear; fear that it could get worse with each passing frame. And, it did.
A regrettably routine catalog of dusty haunted-house tropes.
Effectively creepy, foreboding and much smarter than most modern horror remakes. It should be seen on the big screen.
