Movie Info

Cowboy hero (and future lieutenant governor of Nevada) Rex Bell stars in Men of the Plains. Bell is cast as federal agent Jim Dean, travelling incognito into outlaw territory. He manages to track a criminal gang to the ranch owned by heroine Laura (Joan Barclay), who is naively unaware that she is harboring a band of outlaws. Complicating matters is the fact that Laura, presently the girlfriend of one of the crooks, was Jim's high-school sweetheart. The plotline of Men of the Plains is straightforward enough, but the dialogue is quite convoluted and confusing at times.
