Confused and confusing about where it's going or what it's trying to say.
It's a delight to watch Parineeti Chopra, especially because she has a lot more to do...Meri Pyaari Bindu will appeal to the romantic in you, but watching the movie will be a battle between the brain and the heart.
This movie has its moments. Scenes featuring classic numbers like Mere sapno ki rani from Aradhana and Meri pyaari bindu from Padosan are superb.
If the aim of the film was to evoke nostalgia, it works in the sense that you yearn for the time when Bollywood knew how to make a love story, and romance didn't have to be this laboured.
While the nostalgic references will ensure smiles keep making fleeting appearances on your face, the film won't quite make you root for the characters.
Meri Pyaari Bindu is the kind of romcom that feeds leading questions to potential detractors. Such as, can anything new be said about a love story? Why is Bindu the way she is? And when will this end?
