If you ever have enough time to watch this movie, don't! Wash you hair, walk the dog, do the ironing just DO NOT watch this movie. Bad acting, corny, cliched plot and improbable twists of fate serve as a laughable excuse for the "art" that is the movie. It looks like all concerned were in it for the rent money (Michael Gambon - what were you thinking!).

Midnight In St Petersburg is the final, and not too soon! Harry Palmer movie. Michael Caine unfortunately teams with Jason Connery and his 80's style hair again to figure out how a theft of plutonium, a kidnapping, and a theft of paintings are all connected. This film is at least a bit better, but not by much, then "Bullet To Beijing", but Mchael Caine still looks like he wants the whole thing to end quikly.

For a made for tv movie, this defintely had its few moments of glory, along with the flaws of being a low budget production. Having Michael Caine as Harry Palmer is like Sean Connery as James Bond. Caine really defines the character and makes the character memorable, even if nothing else is.
