Jordan S 10/14/2024 Extremely well made movie, love how he lays out the facts and lets the viewer come to own conclusions. Love how he goes to actual spot of the disappearance or event. Scenery shots are amazing. Feel like this topic should be talked about allot more on the news etc. See more Elise C @CameraCat 01/08/2023 It's stunning this is presented as some kind of bizarre, unexplained mystery. An 85 year old man, who has a history of carelessly injuring himself (so much so he lost an eye using... gunpowder?!), goes on a hunting trip... in a rural area he's never been before, and... whelp, he goes missing!!! My gosh, HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?! UFOs? Sasquatch? HE WAS A HUNTER!! It's impossible; there HAS to be a supernatural explanation. Ugh. Such bunk. Although the production quality on this movie is good, the content is absolute garbage. Pure, unadulterated conspiracy rubbish…great American capitalism: taking a problem that doesn't exist, amplifying it, proposing mass conspiracy and then selling it to people who are dumb enough to buy into it. In the opening, the author suggests that hunters are "generally speaking' expert outdoorsmen and skilled. Lol, wut? I grew up in one of the most popular hunting regions in America. The only thing remarkable is how often they get lost, require rescue, shoot one another, shoot themselves, constantly get lost, etc. HUNTING REQUIRES NOT A SINGLE HOUR OF ANY KIND OF TRAINING OR SKILL SET. These people buy a license that requires no test or standards and they go out every year and fall down ravines, fall down mountains and hills, fall through old mines and shafts. There is no mystery here. For any of these missing hunters. None whatsoever. The host even makes a list of factors that these disappearances have in common. No duh, bruh. If you notice, these are all locations (the so-called ‘cluster zones') with INCREDIBLY dangerous terrain and difficult landscape. Oh really? People disappear near rocky cliffs? And bodies of water? And when the weather suddenly turns bad? And where there are literally millions of square miles of wilderness? LOL. SO when they get injured, they're all wearing $200 camo outfits designed to blend perfectly in with the terrain. Animal attacks (bears and other large carnivores drag their prey back to dens), trees falling on people, trapping them, falling into ravines and lakes, simply getting lost and dying from exposure. In many of these locations, the average person couldn't survive overnight. Period. And they tend to bury themselves in limbs and leaves for some warmth or climb into holes or disused animal dens/caves. So of course they're never found. Again, I'm just saying that none of these men are disappearing. They're getting into situations and environments they're not familiar with and not qualified to survive and then people act crazy when it happens and they can't be located. And unfortunately rescue teams tend to be made up of volunteers who don't even know what they're looking for, let alone qualified to look for it. That's why bodies are so frequently found in areas already searched. That and seasonal changes where brush and grass dies off, making the area much easier to see a few months later. So I guess my criticism is that this whole series is designed to spark the wrong kind of discussion and perpetuates conspiracy theories. Hey dude, how about making a series of movies about how unqualified these men are and how they should avoid these areas altogether. And about kow training should be mandatory for hunting in every state and how NONE of these men had any survival training and warn people that without those skills, they'll very easily become one of these statistics of people who cannot be found.
