Pretty much Walking Tall but with indians, and the casino hasn't been built yet. Would get at least another half star had they bothered to give the main character a back story. That was particularly annoying when one of the antagonists expresses "I thought you were dead!" shock.

Dolph's best film for some time. Its just a remake of many western movies. Loner comes into a town under gang or mob control and cleans it up. Very predictable and quite violent yet its pretty good. The native American Indian story line behind it is nice and it gives it good visuals. The whole thing is a little dull until the final showdown between Dolph and a large gang of hired bikers in the streets. Harks back to Clint's classic showdowns in the 'Dollars' trilogy. Silly but fun trash with good violence.

This movie would get more point if it had been a better movie. I know what you're thinking: "Duh!" but, you know, clearly this realization didn't occur to Dolph.

Just like 'Pale Rider'.
Great Dolph Lundgren, Aviators and choppers.

This movie is basically Pale Rider with Dolph Lundgren in the Clint role. He plays a mysterious man named Ryder, who rolls into a quiet small town to attend a friend's funeral. Before you can say "trouble" he's already figured out that a rich young jackass is running the place and is behind the friend's death. The rest of the first and second act is taken up with the plight of the Indians who live in the town. Unfortunately, as a result of that part of the story, the middle act drags a little. However, a rousing final act, where a gang of bikers turn up to foolishly stop Dolph, kick-starts the picture back to life.

The high noon showdown is bloody. Not Rambo bloody, but bloody nonetheless. One poor soul even takes a 12 gauge shotgun to the face! It's these scenes that show Dolph has an understanding of action greater than his rivals. If Stallone's enjoying a cinematic action rebirth, Dolph's enjoying a DTV rebirth. Fans of Lundgren will feel right at home with this one, but don't go expecting massive explosions and choreographed martial arts sequences.

The look of the film is also noticeable. Lundgren has bathed the film is a dark sepia look and the music is subtle and underused.

Better than most, of Dolph's, "Straight to DVD" films. Disappointing.

Lundgren wrote and directed this grade Z psuedo-western about a bible toting, tequila drinking biker who rides into a small corrupt town to avenge the death of a friend. If subpar action and acting arent bad enough, the excruciatingly slow pace really makes this a task to sit through. Lundgren comes up with amusing character ideas for himself but, doesn't follow through with an equally entertaining movie to put them in.

When Dolph showed his hair i instantly tought:
He would fit in that role like nose at face.
[Back to film]
Some times was silly and at other times good. Hard to say. Seen worst.

Så dåligt att det blir underhållande, så en halv stjärna är den ändå värd.

This Was Great, I Don't See How Lundgren Slipped Out Of The Spotlight Because His Films Are Amazeing. I Don't Usually Take To Remakes But This Was A Brilliantly Adapted Version Of Pale Rider

Pääsi ylllättämään kyllä tämä Dolphin ohjaama sekä käsikirjoittama toiminta elokuva josta odotin perinteistä one-liner raiskausta. Dolph esittää moottorpyörällä ajelevaa Ryderia joka tulee pieneen intiaanikylään ystävänsä hautajaisiin joka on kuollut hyvin hämärissä olosuhteissa. Hyvin pian paikalliset isojehut alkavat tajuamaan ettei Ryder ole pelkästään ystävän hautajaisia varten tullut.
Elokuvan loppukliimaksi on hieno :)

An instant classic. Dolph Lundgren has never been better, he gives his best performance yet in his best directional feature. A riveting, hard-hitting, exciting and well-crafted action flick. An explosive and exhilarating action-packed thrill-ride in the tradition of old-school western film territory. A powerful and adrenaline-fulled non-stop action movie. This is definitely Lundgrens best film yet as a director and actor, keeping his action hero status in check and showing a different side of him as well. A sharp, really cool, stylish and pulse-pounding adventure that never lets up. This film is flat-out awesome. It's a rougher and tougher mixture of Pale Rider meets Walking Tall. It's flat-out sensational.

the ending really sucked, and seriusly i have no idea what he(John Cann) is suppose to be. he just came in the movie, i mean no background and all. it would have made the movie interesting if i knew who he was
