Mondo Topless Reviews
Beginning with World War II GI's who favored pictures of glamorous female stars looking very buxom under their tight sweaters, a trend was established for producer Russ Meyer who delivered the goods in this 1966 ode to over sized female anatomy, MONDO TOPLESS. Meyer simply allows the ladies, mostly California strippers and go-go dancing girls, to do their thing.
The music is loud, the dancing is both erotic and passionate but will only appeal to those who appreciate the D and E cup bra on a slim frame. Such is the case in this movie with all of the girls, but especially with one, standing out from the crowded field.
Buxotic Darlene Grey was "discovered" by Meyer for this movie and is not soon to be forgotten via her go-go gyrations in the California desert. Topless, unstoppable and untoppable among other Meyerism descriptions, she will either stop your heartbeat or bore you to death.
If it's the former, this 61 minute film, an exercise in serious breast fixation, easily rates a 90% on the tomatometer as one of the all time greats!
