Audience Reviews for Mosura 3: Kingu Gidora raishu (Rebirth of Mothra III)

Probably the best in the Mothra 90's trilogy, the kids aren't as annoying and the plot is actually good. The fight scenes are great, the effects are so-so, and the pacing is decent. More tone down than some of the Godzilla films, but even older fans could still enjoy it.

We need to support Mothra King Ghidora, a three headed laser breathing dragon, has arrived on planet Earth and become an indestructible force. Even the mighty Mothra cannot defeat the beast. Mothra and her helpers work with a child to find a book that will allow Mothra to go back in time to face a younger Ghidora and defeat him before he ever became so powerful. "What happened to the monster?" "Mothra killed it." Okihiro Yoneda, director of Mosura, delivers Mothra III in his second major motion picture project. The storyline for this picture feels like a made for TV Disney movie. The premise is a bit ridiculous and the freedom the children have doesn't have a realistic feel to it. The cast delivers mediocre to below average performances and the cast includes Megumi Kobayashi, Misato Tate, and Aki Hano. "I told you we should have used the belt on him more often." We began watching the Godzilla genre monster movies airing frequently on television. We DVR'd this picture (and all the other Mothra films) thinking they would be as good as the Godzilla films...we were definitely disappointed. These pictures transitioned the monster genre into family friendly movies and had an awkward feel to them. I recommend skipping all three Mothra films. "This fight has to be fought." Grade: D-
