But her husband, Robert (Peter Gallagher), has fallen in love with Callie (Joanne Whalley-Kilmer), an assistant principal at his sons' school. He asks Jude for a divorce. She responds by trying to turn her three boys against Callie, then by slashing herself and blaming her rival and finally by drawing her 12-year-old, Kes (Luke Edwards), into a murderous plot.

Jamie Lee Curtis plays Jude (an unbalanced mom) who leaves her husband Robert (Peter Gallagher) and three children without an explanation. Three years later she returns thinking she can pick up where they left off but finds instead that Robert is petitioning her for a divorce and marrying Callie (Joanne Whalley). She finds an ally in her eldest son named Kes who is not happy at his parents getting divorced so she manipulates him into getting rid of Callie. If you want to know the full gory details you will have to watch the film yourself. Jamie Lee did a good job of playing the whacked out psycho mother using her children as leverage to get the father back and Vanessa Redgrave was also good in her few scenes as Jude's mother.

Not really good. There have been movies out there who do the same thing but a lot better. It was really slow to get going and then the end just came and went. Nothing original about this one. Even the usually good Curtis felt out of place here.

Hilariously pulpy Jamie Lee Curtis film with an idiotic ending. It's crudely entertaining, but not a good film by any means.

Strange but watchable movie. Jamie Lee plays a good villain in this.
