Movie Info

In this series of comic sketches strung together by a thin storyline, the comedian Michael Hui plays a teppanyaki chef at a Japanese restaurant, miserably married to an obese Japanese woman whose father owns the restaurant. The chef is trying to compensate for his unhappy existence through an affair with an attractive flight attendant (Sally Yeh). His mistress asks him to join her on one of the Philippine islands for some fun in the sun, but just when he thought he had this "business trip" all arranged, his father-in-law and wife come along with him. That leads to a wide range of close calls and misunderstandings, providing an abundance of comic fodder and a chance at resolving the chef's problems.
