Audience Reviews for The Wind in the Willows

This is a fun film from my childhood that combines a classic story with Monty Python to create and entertaining family flick.

Great humor if you enjoy the Monty Python gang (most are featured here in some capacity or another). Unfortunately, the film's character designs don't do nearly enough to identify the numerous anthropomorphic creatures of the story as animals and not slightly odd-looking humans. A budgetary failing? Either way, Terry Jones is quite enjoyable as the delightfully insane and adventurous, Mr. Toad.

Terry Jones of Monty Python rights directs and stars as Mr. toad in this adaptation of "The Wind in the Willows." It strays slightly from the book in its plot, but a lot of the major points are hit, it is true to the spirit of the novel, and is just plain fun as a kids movie. Other Pythons are featured as well, and the whole cast is quite good. Enjoyable bit of fun for the family.
