Movie Info

A widower attempting to be both father and mother to his nine year old daughter volunteers to be the chaperone at the Go Girls Jamboree at Running Pines Camp without realizing that he'll be the only guy in a sea of screeching pre-teen girls. Eddie (George Lopez) isn't used to the great outdoors, but that all changes when he heads to camp with his beloved daughter Naomi. Eddie wants to connect with Naomi more than anything in the world, and what better ways for a father and daughter to bond than to scour the forest on a treasure hunt, engage in a seriously competitive game of canoe soccer, and take part in the ultra-slippery slimeball wars? Jane Lynch and Naked Brothers Band heartthrobs Alex and Nat Wolff star in a woodsy comedy for grown ups and kids alike.

Audience Reviews for Mr. Troop Mom

½

A dull, easily forgettable little TV movie that has nothing really going for it, but is inoffensive.

George Lopez, I feel, deserves a whole lot more when it comes to movie roles. He's a talented comedian and a great actor in general. Therefore, it really puzzles me about some of the stuff he chooses to star in. Maybe everyone involved could care less about how the film turns out and they just desired a paycheck. The George Lopez Show is one of my favorite sitcoms and I would have loved to have seen a movie of the show a lot more than this film. It definitely would have been funnier! As far as storylines go, well, let's just say I'm pretty sure the writers of the George Lopez TV show would have come up with a more entertaining and more interesting plot than what was done here. It's very typical, predictable, cheesy, and while there may be a couple of giggles, this movie isn't really that funny either. I can't stick the knife in too far though. It is a made-for-TV film so you can't expect too much out of it. Hope everyone involved with the film was paid enough. Not a total failure, but you can live the rest of your life without ever seeing it.

Not to be confused with Mr. Mom (as I did.) Waste of my time, GEORGE LOPEZ?!?!? WHYYYYYYYY!!!!! He used to be so good! God! The characters were weak, the jokes were weak, the props were so stereotypical, the plot was absolutely terrible, scriptwriting awful, just incredibly disgusting. The Rating: 1/5, hollywood Bull$#!T
