Movie Info

A woman's love grows into something dangerous and troubling in this drama from South Korea. Jung Ae-ryeon (Lee Mi-yeon) is an obsessively tidy young woman who runs a video store. When musician Yu Dong-seok (Choe Woo-je) stops into the store to rent a movie, Jung is immediately taken with him, and quickly strikes up a friendship, though he informs her he has a girlfriend and isn't looking for another relationship. Jung's infatuation with Yu begins to develop into something deeper as she begins pulling strings to help his career, and before long her desire has crossed the line into an unhealthy fixation, as she starts sneaking into his apartment and following him in his daily routine. Mulgogi Jari marked the feature debut for director and screenwriter Kim Hyung-tae. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi
