An afterthought sequel; see only the original

It's a sequel that's worth a look, but not a purchase.

Affirms one teenager's coming of age as she expresses her competence and her caring.

Sappy and derivative. A sequel that never should have been made.

It's always that second dollop of syrup that turns your pancakes into an inedible mass.

Audience Reviews for My Girl 2

To much sentimental, to much bad...

½

Not quite as good as the first, but I actually like it a lot more. I think the plot goes a lot better and the characters aren't as cheesy. Sure, it doesn't have Macaulay Culkin, but Austin O'Brien (my favorite kid star of the mid-nineties) fills in nicely and is a lot less pathetic and more believable.

A sequel nobody wanted to a movie few people remember.
