A bit alarming at first, Nanny McPhee has a hard edge to counter Mary Poppins-style sweetness, but it still charms us and teaches some valuable lessons. Read critic reviews

Movie Info
Widower Cedric Brown (Colin Firth) hires Nanny McPhee (Emma Thompson) to care for his seven rambunctious children, who have chased away all previous nannies. Taunted by Simon (Thomas Sangster) and his siblings, Nanny McPhee uses mystical powers to instill discipline. And when the children's great-aunt and benefactor, Lady Adelaide Stitch (Angela Lansbury), threatens to separate the kids, the family pulls together under the guidance of Nanny McPhee.

Aug 05, 2012For a family film, the content is way too sexual that was disturbing to an extent, but if you can ignore that it was a great film filled with lots of fun, a perfect fairytale really.Sylvester K Super Reviewer

Sep 01, 2011didn't like the characters in this nanny mcphee as much compared to the second one... the ending of the 2nd one was also fantastic... this movie also ended very well but there were parts of the movie where i just felt bored and didn't really care what happened.. this storyline wasn't as exciting as the 2nd nanny mcpheePaul A Super Reviewer

Apr 21, 2011Nanny Mcphee is about a father that has a hard time keeping a nanny in house because his kids run the house. Then nanny Mcphee comes to see if she can help. At first the kids will do anything in their power to get rid of the new nanny. Will Mcphee leave or stay and teach them how to behave. Pros Good plot Con lacking acting I just thought Mary poppins was a better film.erika b Super Reviewer
