Jane Goodall did not set out to become an expert on chimpanzees, but her employer, Louis Leakey sent her to Gombe National Park in Tanzania, and life was never the same for Goodall. National Geographic: Jane Goodall: My Life with Chimpanzees chronicles her dedication to chimpanzees as it traces her beginnings, and follows her progress as she tries to save this animal from exploitation and abuse. Jack Lemmon narrates this program filled with footage of the chimps, from their natural habit to the sometimes harrowing environment of the laboratory.
