Movie Info

This documentary examines poachers hunting for game in Botswana and the soldiers trying to stop them. The soldiers are first seen in training, followed by their search for the poachers and their eventual interaction with them. The particular group of poachers in this 55-minute video killed the last known black rhino in Botswana in 1990 for its valuable ivory tusks. Narrator Keith David guides the viewer through the wilds of Botswana and points out the moral dilemmas involved with this issue, especially whether an animal's life is more valuable than that of a human. There are a number of graphic shots of dead elephants and rhinos and even two dead humans, showing how deadly these hunts can become.
