Joseph G @LicenseToChivalry007 Mar 16 It has moments and navigates the dreaded waters of a sensitive topic. No One Would Tell takes the 1996 film and modernizes it with a similar yet daunting lesson. I applaud the film's message and realistic depiction of what happens too often. But the film suffers from uninspiring characters and an overly formulaic plot. Few characters are likeable and relatable, though four are. The biggest weakness is Callan Potter’s performance as the antagonist, which is so aggressively portrayed that it sometimes borders on unintentionally comical rather than frightening. Shannen Doherty serves as the film’s emotional anchor, portraying a mother whose unconditional love and concern for her daughter provide some of the film’s most authentic moments. Matreya Scarrwener and Chanelle Peloso also deliver strong performances as vulnerable teens navigating a painful situation. There is both a lot to like and a lot to criticize here, but it remains an important story that deserves to be told and heard. See more Gabby P @RT05982824 03/24/2025 The original was much better. The acting felt more realistic, especially given the serious subject. This version appeared unrealistic and somewhat comical. I’m disappointed because the original was clearly superior. See more Jennifer R @RT92424482 03/17/2025 It was ok as far as story telling, but it does have a serious message in the end. This appears to be a remake, which I never watched the original. I watched it because it came across as a recommendation of what I might like. I saw the cast, and figured I'd give it a shot. If nothing else it was background noise that was easy to follow, even if I didn't pay attention.
