Unable to sustain a consistent mood or genre, the film never had the necessary pacing of a thriller and was never underhandedly funny enough to keep the audience involved.

You will watch this film with a baffled smirk on your face. At least I did.

This one doesn't go on the list of great recent European thrillers, but it's engrossing, and in the character of Martine/Candice, it touches real poignancy.

An intriguingly original and attractively shot whodunit that blends a sense of Marilyn Monroe-infused sadness into the mix.

A stylishly shot film that's at once forlorn and hopeful, unfolding in a space that seems real and familiar, yet also a bit off-kilter and dreamlike. If it's a candle in the wind, it flickers some, but doesn't get blown out.
