08/20/2010 A true punk band I have been a NOFX fan for the past 20 years and I don't just love them for their brilliant music but for being a true punk band. Having played together as a band for 27 years NOFX have always done things their own way. They have shunned the main stream media and big record labels and instead set up their own label which gave them complete control and kept the censors away. It is the band's reluctance to do any interviews and thus the limited information available about who they really are which makes Back Stage Passport such an interesting and great show to watch. They set off on a world tour of obscure countries, bringing punk rock to people perhaps not familiar with the genre and the show details all the ups and downs of their journey. They probably lose money as they get tricked by shady promoters, one show is cancelled and for one there is no venue booked and they play a show attended by 25 people. The band come across as genuinely nice people who just want to play their music to the 'kids'. All the stress about money and organisation is left to their manager Kent who is a great character who likes to drink, a lot. This show is a rare opportunity to get some insight behind the scenes of one of the last true punk bands. Take it. See more Read all reviews
