Critic Reviews for Not of This Earth
The more sober-minded work, and the creepier film, thanks in large measure to Paul Birch's performance as the gent who is 'not of this Earth.'
Audience Reviews for Not of This Earth
One of Roger Corman's many late fifties sci-fi drive in pieces, this film's plot is one of the "aliens need our bodily fluids" type movies that actually does it pretty uniquely. The dialogue is laughable and the cheapness pours out of every frame, but it's not quite as ludicrously enjoyable as Attack of the Crab Monsters.
Is it a good movie? Not necessarily, but it's not as poorly done like some of Corman's other work. The characters hold up on their own, and can be taken seriously. The plot is interesting enough, and flows smoothly. The last 10-minutes go into more goofy-territory, but it ends the film with some fun moments.
Look the aliens look just like humans with white eye contacts. Really after about 30 minutes I lost interest and kept daydreaming about other things I would rather be doing. Acting wasn't horrible but the story was dull and the monster wasn't interesting.
