An ancestor of the gender twisted Tea For Two (1950) and later the Jim Carrey gem: Liar Liar (1997). Hope is a young stockbroker who must tell the truth for 24 hours to win a bet. Great fun.

This funny, quick--paced comedy never loses it's footing nor gets overly sillly thanks to tight scriptiing, direction and spirited comic performances led by Hope.

Here's an interesting concept: A man who speaks nothing but the 100% honest truth is suspected of being mentally ill. Ha! Says it all, eh?

A decent Bob Hope romp, but I thought Paulette was incredibly irritating -- not a huge fan of hers anyway. And if this flick sounds a lot like "Liar, Liar," disregard this thought. No magical birthday cakes in this one. These writers actually took the time to come up with a plot.

I've been on a Bob Hope kick lately and had never seen this one. This really puts Jim Carrey's "Liar Liar" to shame. Absolutely hilarious and Paulette Goddard is enchanting. Hmmmm...a Rumplemeyer!
