See more Jane D @jdtraviano 4d I created a RT account just to leave this review, it was that bad. There's a horrific scene with a pregnant woman giving birth. Normally this would be handled delicately, even in a comedy. But this was foul. Without any warning, they panned down between her legs to show the actual birth happening, with the woman's open CGI 'area' and a CGI baby coming out of it. Then after we'd both looked away, they showed it again, with the CGI 'area' stretched out fully and the CGI baby forcing its way out. Sure, birth is a miracle but showing one in the middle of a family-friendly Netflix film is completely barbaric. It was literally CGI nightmare fuel. And they know this, because they deliberately gave the audience no warning, they panned down in less than half a second to show it on purpose, to shock and disgust the audience. The rest of the film is a sub-par comedy, with some moderately entertaining laugh moments. The soundtrack is great though. It carries the film. See more Renee W @ReneeNchill 6d Fantastic RomCom. It was nice to break the mold of early 2000’s tradition. I love the nostalgia from the “How to Lose A Guy…” and “13 Going on 30” but it’s nice to see something new. See more Katie D @novagirl11kd 6d I'll always watch something with a Ted Lasso alum in it and Brett Goldstein delivers what you'd expect, but Betty Gilpin steals the movie. She's genuinely funny even though I couldn't place her from anything else I'd seen. She's one of those actors who somehow looks like several other people at once. It's a little uncomfortable at first given the office power dynamic and environment, but then it settles into a comfortable romantic comedy rhythm once it gets going. The one scene that really threw me was the birth scene, completely over the top and tonally out of step with the rest of the movie. Overall a solid, likable watch, and a good one for an easy night in. See more Read all reviews
