Kind of a low spot in Jim Garner's career--he wasn't making big movies anymore and he hadn't yet revived his career with "Rockford Files". He's as amiable as ever but this is a pretty forgettable film. Pat Hingle is good and a young Jodie Foster shines in her limited screen time, while Andrew Pine appears to be using this as his audition reel for "The Apple Dumpling Gang". There are comedy sequences that scream for music which seems to indicate McEveety was as bored watching it as the audience and forgot.
Waste of TIME!! Very Weak movie, DO NOT WATCH, if you do end up watching it, side effects may include: Suicide, murder ramapages, road ramapage, any kinds of ways of harming yourself, and many others...
