Like the previous film, it doesn't take itself too seriously. It's not high art, but it's fun and silly for kids and families.
It's not a classic, but it's not a clunker either.
Even though it's cursed with a small budget and a complete overhaul of the voice cast, Season 2 is a gentle charmer, yet even more importantly, it's practically A Night at the Opera compared to the first film.
Now and again, the humour is quite effective and the spoof of RV road warriors hits the mark, but more often, the jokes are higher on energy than they are on laugh generation.
Cute animation where the animals need to find their dognapped friend.
I might have been able to stand Open Season 2 if it had a good enough story too it because I think the humour was slightly better then the first and a bit more tolerable among adults. Unfortunately, the movie never went anywhere.
The animals from the first Open Season movie find themselves on another adventure as their daschund friend is reclaimed by his owners and they go after him in an effort to rescue him and bring him back to the wild.
What I liked about this movie: ok well... there were actually some pretty funny moments in it ranging from characters like Fifi (a male poodle who hates wild animals) to a gas station attendant who has a few funny scenes on his own.
The movie also is pretty lighthearted but not as good as the first one
Not as good as the original, but still somewhat entertaining. Kids will enjoy it more than the adults. Some chuckles, but not enough. Wait for it come on tv...
