I thought this an ok adaptation. It's not flashy or weighed down by some director's attempt to make it "relevant". If you are studying the play and want a fairly faithful version this is good to go.
Great performances and solid production of this stage classic, make it a highly enjoyable viewing experience.
Worth watching for Branagh
The strengths here are many, and the faults are glaring.
This shows Hollywood is better to stay away from valuable stories and just keep doing all those stupid b movies.
Not the best produced version but a very well acted one.
Belle adaptation d'Othello avec un Kenneth Branagh (acteur seulement) qui excelle dans un rôle de salopard manipulateur et Lawrence Fishburne très bon dans le rôle titre.
Et toujours cette histoire d'intrigues et de trahisons amoureuses très bien racontée.
Pelicula correcta ,sin muchas pretenciones.
While Kenneth Branagh is perfect as Iago, Othello lacks the spark prevalent in other, more successful adaptations of Shakespeare.
this is still my favorite version of this shakespeare play
