Not a bad film but could have been a lot better. It tries and fails to be funny at times which is the most frustrating thing about this movie, the majority of the humour coming from Danny Dyer (who gave a fairly decent performance with the material given).
The story is watchable and the dialogue is believable and natural on the most part.
It works as a light hearted one time watch but offers nothing beyond a "chick flick".

When you see the hulking, sneering figure of International budget-Cameo-Hard-man Vinnie Jones appearing on the horizon to rescue this dire, exercise in romantic chauvinism, you understand - that this is beyond dreadful.

I have a feeling that most of the guys will hate this movie. Danny is dreamy and the movie is for girls mostly. Even that it is surrounded by football, this is a definite chick flick. A lot of very funny scenes, but the scenario is laughable. The couple is married and the bride doesn't know her husband is a hardcore football fan? Laughable. Giving up football completely for a woman... laughable. Guys don't watch this, unless you are REALLY a fan of Danny, he's pretty funny in this movie.

a film with a sence of fun and passion concerning the beautyful game football, set during european championships in portugal, dany dyer takes his wife on there honeymoon, but with in mind the 3 england games being played thsat he has tickets for, some fun moments watching dyer squirm, as he trys to think on his feet, and his put upon wife, portugal looks great, especially lisbon, my new love as my fiance is from there, im not a football fan but it doesent matter, as this will also, apeal to those put upon so called football wideos

Expected this to be hilarious, Danny Dyer tries to arrange his honeymoon around some football matches in Portugal, without raising any suspicion. First of all far from funny. More of Rom Com, a couple of stupid commentators are in almost every second scene. Vinnie Jones Also had a pointless role. Really disappointed do pass this one up
