Vin Diesel wisely and eagerly parodies himself in the Pacifier, but despite his efforts and a handful of funny moments, the film is only mildly amusing as a whole.

It's alright if you like comedies.

This movie gets a lot of flack, but it achieves its goal of being a cheesy comedy. it isn't the godfather but after watching it i enjoyed myself and chuckled here and there.

Moderately entertaining, but by no means exceptional. Mildly competent and funny.

Not a great movie, but Vin Diesel was alright in it. This was a fairly funny and slightly touching movie like most ones by Disney. The overall story was decent, but it also got interesting in a bit of a weird way. The basic part of the story about a navy seal who cares for kids in his own kind of matter was pretty good though. The movie has some good actors, an exceptional plot, and some fun and intriguing action. The Pacifier was a solid film.

An okay film that is just too predictable to even be considered good. Another "tough guy falls in love with the kids" flick. Could do worse for a family flick, but could do a lot better too.

Typical comedy where a military man must protect four children. The comedy is juvenile and the plot is of course predictable. The kids at first can't stand him but by the end, everyone loves each other.

I was interested to see this because of Vin Diesel, but it was definitely not his best movie. The idea was ok, but most of what happened in the movie was stupid.

Well acted and interesting story, but with a lot of cliches and predictable narrative with a weak argument.

Oh How The Brave Have Fallen In This Poor Attempt At Cheap Laughs. It May Have Worked For Arnie In 'Kindergarten Cop', This However, Proves A Dismal Exception To The Action-Figure 'Navy-Seal' Out Of Water.

Vin Diesel, famously known as portraying Dominic Toretto going "Fast and Furious" and Riddick running around in "Pitch Black", goes back to the family film business since his best role of his career as the lovable Iron Giant back in 1998 with Warner Bros. But this time, his tough guy image gets temporarily infected by staying to the strict rules of "The Pacifier" being an absolute family-orientated flick. However at the same time, it's a Disney film. So it's an invitation to a good opportunity to work with Disney to experience the work of their magic and heart.

Diesel's performance of being on a tough-guy-free vacation is a little amusing at times, but there are times he's blended with the general family flick atmospheric silliness. There were times when his character was trying out some stuff out of love and care to help out that's way out of his toughness, it would probably have you place your palm on your forehead and say "Oh my god" under breath. It's not a parody [heavens no, Disney would never make such dumb move] but I think Diesel might had a fun time with a little humiliation, and ignored that feeling when he's a tough guy with a heart.

"The Pacifier" may have a familiar structure with the general silliness and being predictable, it can be enjoyable when there are funny parts and usual signs of a Disney-ized heart. It can be a mediocre recommendation for Vin Diesel fans who can find it a little amusing or a little hard to watch at his sort-of laughable performance. (B)

Great family flick. Perfect for Family Movie Night and even though he is not a comedic pro, Vin Diesel is endearing in this parody of his tough guy character.

Vin Diesel is not funny nor heroic enough to
Make this even passable.
