See more s r @ScottR 12/25/2016 A cute and at moments spectacular film. See more 12/24/2016 Corny but fun old-timey Disney nature film. Disney had been criticized for staging parts of their prior nature films, so this film dropped all pretense of being a documentary and instead frames the film around a Bambi-like forest animal story. Perri is a tree squirrel who gets separated from his famiiy and has to survive on his own through all four seasons, getting chased my predators and even having to survive a forest fire. Pretty lightweight stuff, but it's never boring and my 4-year old quite enjoyed it. See more 12/20/2016 Perri contains some lovely scenery and shots of life in the forest. It is referred to as the only true-life fantasy, but in honesty it isn't much more than a documentary to me. The story didn't always keep my interest and could have used some work.
