The dialogue is cringey and unbelievable. None of the characters are likeable. I gave up at the point where her date eats a brownie, but he has a nut allergy. Personally I can’t believe that a person with a nut allergy would just randomly eat home-baked brownies without checking if they contained nuts first.

Just watched since I have a prime account trial. I don't know much about British Indian culture since I'm a 1st gen in the US and didn't have Indian friends in the UK when I lived there. Wasn't sure how relatable it was. But, probably could have done better with a culture consultant. Her character doesn't have depth and the backstory of her and Charlie is underdeveloped and they don't have much screen time together due to all the sub plots. Had potential, but wouldn't watch it again. It also seems odd to make a short outing to look at jewelry at a safe deposit box. My mother probably would have presented something like that to me at home.

In an hard-to-find good movie library, i found this to be a pleasant surprise. An easy watching, real life similar rom com that was the perfect length and well worth a watch. If it came back on again in passing i’d watch again.
