Astaire & Rogers it's not. While it was somewhat entertaining fluff, it had few other redeeming qualities. The costumes were ridiculous, distracting and very unflattering. And unfortunately, there really wasn't anything significantly original in the storyline itself. The final number, while impressive in its precision, lacked variety and musical interest, and consequently became boring very quickly, as the same moves were repeated over and over again. One very notable exception was the performance by Frank & Harry Condos (as The Condos Brothers). Their dancing was exceptional and dazzling to watch. If you're looking for simple fluff and diversion - enjoy. Just don't set your expectations too high.

A lighter than air bit of cotton candy movie starring the indomitable Betty Grable. A reason to capitalize on the iconic picture of Betty in her bathing suit. it's a super patriotic, pro military confection, not her best, but painless.

Colorful and lively musical which surprisingly shows very little of Betty Grable?s famous legs. A nice variety of musical numbers pep up the film, Martha Raye heads a fine supporting cast and provides amusing relief. Good score, well produced. Nothing deep but very entertaining.

Fantastic movie in every way!!! Betty Grable was absolutely adorable in this!!! The dance numbers were extravagant and the costumes magnificent. The final number is remarkable!!! Very cute love story interspersed throughout. I highly recommend this nostalgic movie from 1944!!!!!

I don't really know why this film isn't bigger than it is! Some of the dancing is some of the best musical theatre there is and the roller skating routine is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!

Betty Grable is perfect for the role and a plesure to watch! A really great cute musical film!!

PIN-UP GIRL focuses on Betty of course and those "million" dollar legs. Betty Grable is stunning in this film, the kind of personality you just can't help but fall in love with. There is a real gem in the film, a number called 'Once Too Often', which is a sour song of love and betrayal, at odds with the rest of the saccharine mood of the film. Grable sings it well then dances it with the great Hermes Pan. In her split skirt showing those million dollar legs, she and Pan do a sexy routine together. It's the best thing in the whole movie.

Really a mess of a movie, nonsensical and trite, however Betty, Martha and Joe E. Brown and SOME of the musical numbers make it worth at least one viewing.

Seriously worth watching for the choreographed roller-skating sequence alone. I feel pretty confident that there will never be such a sequence in a film ever again. Damn you, rollerblades!

I felt like I was scraping the bottom of the barrel with this MGM musical but I was pleasantly surprised. Fun plot with some sweet romantic prose. Some really spectacular musical numbers notable the roller skating extravaganza and the hoofing duo of The Condos Brothers was some heavy stuff for the time. Also, the inclusion of Charlie Spivak's orchestra was another special treat.

Lackluster musical that belongs in obscurity. Betty Grable, while a wonderful actress, just couldn't make this bad script good. Some of the songs were inventive (eg. the rollerskating red-white-blue number), but others were just long (that military march?!). And seriously, what ever happened to her best friend? She just completely vanished from the movie about 30 minutes into it!
