Movie Info

Carre 35 is a place that has never been named in my family; There is the vault of my eldest sister, who died at the age of three. This sister, of whom I was told almost nothing, and of whom my parents had kept no photographs curiously. It is to fill this lack of image that I undertook this film. Believing simply to unfold the thread of a forgotten life, I opened a backdoor on a lived experience that I did not know, on that unconscious memory that is in each of us and that makes us what we are.

  • "Plot 35" doesn't just explore a family tragedy - it explores the tragedy of family, the way that loving our parents is not the same as understanding them, just as for them, loving their children does not always mean telling them the truth.

  • Offers a fascinating snapshot of 20th-century history and how it impacted one family on a personal level, even if the film struggles to really fuse its macro and micro levels.
