An authentic family portrait that somehow touches a raw nerve. Worth a look if you want to find out how unassuming and subtle filmmaking can hit all the right notes.

A lightly told well structured French family movie about growing up and the struggles as a parent. In one or another scene you feel find yourself resembled, yet you might have felt like that before.

One of the best films I've seen this year. Something many people can relate to, even if all you understand are the subtitles

A vibrant film that explores one, single family. Shows how amazing an ordinary life can be. It is overlong, though.

Why do people seem to think that movies have to have a "point" or a "plot"? If you do, OK, fine, but you're missing out on life. And this film is just that....life. Life from 5 different family members' points of view. There are sad scenes, hilariously funny scenes (when one character answers the door with something else in her mouth besides food!), fantasy scenes, uncomfortable scenes, just about everything you ever felt watching a movie but all in ONE movie.

i finally saw a french film, whilst in france (it was great to see film en francais without subtitles!) a little bit of a dramatic take on family life, but enjoyable and moving nonetheless. good acting overall and it was a nice surprise to see C.R.A.Z.Y's marc-andre grondin as one of the family's children.
